DUO International 25th Anniversary Spearhead Ryuki Laponia.
25-year anniversary for DUO International this year and it’s great to see some limited-edition stunning colours released. The Laponia in the Ryuki’s series is classically Japanese and reminds me in particular of Koinobori (鯉のぼり), meaning “carp streamer” otherwise known to many as carp-shaped windsocks … these streamers are used as a celebration for Children’s Day takes place on May 5, the last day of Golden Week.
Mix them with a few of my favourites, Sakura or cherry blossoms and one of my many Maneki Neko or beckoning cats from my vast collection. This one is my favourite as it came from Gotokuji Temple, known as the original place of the Maneki Neko’s origin.
