TURBO CHARGED – DUO ROUGH TRAIL HYDRA 220
Lots of water shots at the moment mainly because I have some clients that want these styles of images. It takes a lot to setup and pull down each time, so best the knock over a pile of images and experiment while I’m at it.
I was requested to do some drop down images to simulate a lure being cast and landing in the water, the DUO Rough Trail Hydra 220 was my experiment lure, other lure images to follow soon. For this I used a deep vertical tank, three light setup, black reflector and all the lights off in the studio, only relying on the modelling light on the Godox AD600 Pro for some visual light. Triggering the shot took the collaboration of a Godox X-Pro, Nikon WR-10 and a Miops Water Trigger…. Elaborate but it works every time once you set the delay timing right, just takes a few trial runs.
