Winter is Tuna Time
To me autumn and winter is my favourite times of the year, I love the cold. But with the cold often comes a bounty of goodies….. not work goodies for photos, more food. It’s this time of the year is a real pleasure and relax to preserve any excess food and a successful day on the water for a neighbour lead to a day of preserving some beautiful Bluefin tuna…. Well what’s left after a feast sashimi that is!
Preserving your own tuna or any oily fish is easy, just takes time and a little bit of advice don’t do it inside the house unless you want your home to smell of a tuna refinery. There’s lots of recipes online, I personally always head to SBS Food to look for inspiration and direction.
