Match the Hatch– Duo Rough Trail Hydra
Growing up in a fly fishing family, one of the earliest things I learnt about fishing is always “match the hatch’. This terminology dates back to the early times of trout fly fishing and no matter what fishing situation or target species be it from trout to marlin, replicating the local or prevalent food source is one of the keys to a successful catch rate.
Pelagic and aggressive hunting species like tuna, trevally, queenfish and kingfish all target garfish as a food source and the Duo Rough Trail Hydra is one of the best match the hatch examples of a garfish representation.
