The new Daiwa 25 Saltiga photographed for Daiwa. there’s always a sense of excitement every four or so years when Daiwa release the new Saltiga. Since its introduction in 2002, I’ve photographed every model and variation of the Saltiga, each new series has continually evolved to become the strongest and most technically advanced spinning reel available. As someone who photographs these reels, my love for them always revolves around cosmetics and visual design. Everyone will have their favourite, 25 model while quite simplistic has quite striking design elements , but my favourite over the past 20 plus years has always been the original, released back in 2002.
