Springtime Snow Melt – Trout Season Opening This Weekend in NSW
Trout opening in NSW is just about upon us. The Snowy Mountains are living up to their name with some great snowfalls in the past few days. The highland streams could see some spectacular scenery and catching a trout will just be a bonus for those adventurous to hike into these streams.
Trudging through the snow with a backpack full of photographic gear along with food, water, accessories is hard work, but the heaviest part of the kit is my all-time favourite lens the AFS Nikkor 200mm f/2G ED VR. It’s a beast to carry, the holy grail of Nikon telephotos but images from it are just perfect shot wide open. It’s a shame it’s no longer made, mine will continue to deliver its magic until it no longer works, and parts or service have finished.
