SUNRISE RIGGING – HOBIE MIRAGE PRO ANGLER 360
Early morning outdoor shoots are always a mad rush affair, up early, drive, walk in and sit and wait for that sunrise….. like waiting for water to boil, it seems to never happen, then all of a sudden, it’s a quick rush to capture the light and colour.
The Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.8S is such a beautifully sharp lens, crisp across the frame, it’s ideal of isolating a subject. It’s a lens that I got a while ago as an interim lens while waiting for the much anticipated and delayed Z 70-200mm to arrive. The original idea was to use it till the 70-200 arrived but but it’s a keeper now.
Though you can add star effects on post I always like to capture it right in camera, that’s where the Marumi filters come into play. There’s two types I use, star and snow cross. The Star creates very crisp stars and the Snow has some softness, both create a different feel and generally for mornings/evenings I like the Snow
